The Strategic Information (SI) Lecturer is located in Windhoek, Namibia. I-TECH Namibia has a multi-million dollar portfolio which supports the Ministry of Health and Social Services' (MoHSS) response to HIV/AIDS.
The primary role of the SI Lecturer is to collaborate with the University of Namibia administration and lecturers to strengthen University of Namibia's Masters in Public Health degree program. The SI Lecturer will strengthen SI curriculum content within existing MPH program; revise the mode of delivery as necessary and building relationships with UNAM lecturers and administrators. The SI Lecturers will develop a long-term strategy to with UNAM lecturers to strengthen capacity of students to specialize in Strategic Information. The SI lecturer will be a University of Washington/I-TECH employee, and will be located at the I-TECH Namibia office in Windhoek.
I-TECH Namibia has been recognized by the MoHSS as the capacity building/training partner for MoHSS in the area of HIV/AIDS health workforce development. I-TECH is also involved in many of the ministry's efforts to understand and provide strategic information for program planning. I-TECH's close collaborates with the MoHSS necessitates that a Senior Evaluation Advisor serves as the hands-on technical assistance and support for the design, implementation, data collection, and analysis of several evaluation projects.
The International Training and Education Center for Health (I-TECH) is a federally-funded project which supports the development of HIV/AIDS care and treatment training initiatives serving healthcare providers in 25 developing countries acutely impacted by the global AIDS epidemic. With an annual budget of approximately $50 million, I-TECH currently supports 10 international offices and approximately 600 international and domestic staff. I-TECH is an initiative of the University of Washington schools of Medicine and Public Health and it partners with the University of California, San Francisco.
