IBM's Almaden Research Center invites applications for a postdoctoral appointment to conduct research in modeling viral epidemiology, to begin in 2009.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. or higher-level experience in either Epidemiology, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Biology, or an appropriate medical research field. Applicants should have an interest in mathematical modeling of infectious disease. Applicants should have a knowledge of Epidemiology (to the level of Anderson and May) with skills in nonlinear differential equations, as well as a practical knowledge of java programming.
