Nutritionist III

Salary: $56,784 - $66,924 Annually

Job Type: full-time, permanent

Description: provides nutrition program coordination and staff supervision.

Examples of Duties: 1. develops individual nutrition care plans for high risk clients; 2. provides individual nutrition counseling to high risk clients; 3. coordinates program activities in consultatin with supervisor; 4. consults with other agencies in the provision of direct client nutrition services; 5. develops program policies and procedures; 6. develops systems and procedures to meet prgoram goals and objectives; 7. plans and conducts nutrition classes and/or approves nutrition class content; 8. prepares work schedules and assignments for staff; 9. supervises assigned staff and participates in the selection, orientation, training and evaluation of staff performance; 10. maintains records and statistical data and prepares reports for evaluating program services or for program planning; 11. initiates and participates in staff meetings for the purpose of reviewing overall activities and program planning; 12. serves as a liaison and participates in the coordination of nutrition program staff and other department personnel as needed; 13. performs related work consistent with job classification as assigned; 14. participates in public health emergency response activities that are consistent with job classification.

Qualifications: A Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition from an accredited college or university

Experience: 2 years of experience supervising staff and/or managing programs and projects

Other: Possession of a current State of Washington Motor Vehicle Operator’s License. Credentialed as a Registered Dietician by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
