The Northern Navajo Medical Center in Shiprock, NM has recently posted the announcement of their Safety Officer position. This position is located in the Professional Quality Standards Services (PQS) Division of Shiprock Service Unit (SRSU). The incumbent of this position is responsible for the development, implementation, management, evaluation, and revision of the medical facilities safety and occupational health programs, including Respiratory Protection Program and Hazardous Materials Program. The incumbent reports to the PQS Director.This position assures that the facility Safety and Environment of Care is maintained in compliance with accreditation standards as well as applicable laws and regulations. More broadly this position provides appropriate recommendations to the Northern Navajo Medical Center (NNMC) leadership.
