A full-time post-doctoral position is available for an applicant with interest in cell and molecular biology focusing on translational research in prostate cancer.  The work will involve working with clinical specimens and human xenografts, transcriptome and genome analysis, cell culture, knockdown and overexpression studies, immunohistochemistry, and laser capture microdissection.  Basic knowledge in molecular biology techniques is required. Research experience in the field of prostate cancer biology is highly desired.

You will join a multidisciplinary group of investigators in a laboratory setting of 14 individuals.  To be successful in this project, you must be highly motivated, be an independent and critical thinker while working as part of a team, possess excellent communication, and data presentation skills.  Working well in a team environment is critical.  Funding is available for a multi-year appointment with appointments renewed annually based on performance.  Salary is based on NIH fellowship guidelines. This is a 1.0 FTE position with a 12 month service period. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.

Requirements: Ph.D. or foreign equivalent in molecular biology, genetics, genomics, oncology, or relevant field.
