Job description:

Assist with the implementation of Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) funded research projects on medical education and issues related to medical professionalism.

Primary tasks will include:

  1. Conducting literature reviews
  2. Assisting with qualitative and quantitative research and report-writing
  3. Administrative duties
  4. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the humanities or social sciences (education, psychology, sociology, social work, anthropology, etc.) or in a healthcare field (medicine, nursing, public health, etc.). Master’s degree preferred; candidates with Bachelor’s degrees should have two years of work experience
  2. Excellent written and spoken English. Non-native English speakers are welcome to apply. Please include proof of English proficiency (e.g.,GEPT/TOEFL/TOEIC scores or other evidence) with your application if you are non-native English speaker.
  3. Familiarity with word processing and qualitative data analysis software
  4. A positive work attitude, sense of responsibility, and excellent communication and teamwork skills
  5. Experience with academic writing and qualitative research preferred

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8:30-17:30 or 09:00-18:00 (with one-hour lunch break)

  5. In addition to public holidays, eligibility for 2-3 days of paid leave beginning January 2018 (dependent upon exact start date), as well as up to 4 days of paid winter holidays and up to 12 days of paid summer holidays to be granted at the discretion of the supervisor

Salary range:

In accordance with Ministry of Science and Technology regulations, after payment of all taxes, labor and health insurance:

  1. Employees with Master’s degrees will receive $26,210NT per month. They are also eligible for approximately $80,000NT in tax and other reimbursements in the year subsequent to the completion of the contract.
  2. Employees with Bachelor’s degrees will receive $22,978NT per month. They are also eligible for approximately $70,000NT in tax and other reimbursements in the year subsequent to the completion of the contract.
