The role of the Tobacco Prevention and Education Program (TPEP) Coordinator is to work collaboratively at the community and state level to implement comprehensive evidence based strategies for reducing tobacco use and exposure. The TPEP Coordinator will create annual work plans in accordance with Program Element 13.
Work plans must include provided strategies, milestones, and activities on the following activities:
Facilitation of community partnerships
Creating Tobacco-Free Environments
Countering Pro-Tobacco Influences
Promoting Quitting Among Adults and Youth
Reducing the Burden of Tobacco-Related and Other Chronic Diseases
TPEP Coordinator will be required to network with community partners as a means to strengthen support for the above activities. This position requires travel throughout Columbia County as well as in-state travel for meetings and trainings.
