Job Summary
Responsible for assisting with the data and analytical aspects of planning, market/industry research, and strategic opportunities. Provides a wide range of planning, coordination, reporting, and analytic functions to assist in the achievement of division deliverables, such as researching and analyzing market opportunities, proactive competitive surveillance, producing market share reports, conducting detailed quantitative and qualitative analyses and reports, financial and population health analytics, mapping, database management, preparing environmental and other types of need assessments. Identifies relevant information, applies sound methodological principles, and works in collaboration with other team members.

Primary Duties
•Assists in the general planning, research and analysis activities of the department.
•Conducts environmental scanning and analysis by evaluating health care and economic trends at the local, regional and national level.
•Assists with the evaluation of competitive organizations, services, and strategies
•Performs complex analysis of qualitative and quantitative data, including financial information, to support critical decisions, interprets information and summarizes narrative reports and PowerPoint presentations
•Assists in project and meeting planning and coordination to support department priorities

Minimum Qualifications

License, Certification, Education or Experience:

REQUIRED for the position:

•Master’s degree in health administration services, healthcare management, or other related field
•3 years in planning, research, financial/data analytics or similar roles
•Extensive knowledge and skill in using MS Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
•Knowledge and expertise in general researching and identification of sources
•Demonstrated quantitative and qualitative analytic skills and the ability to identify the most relevant findings and implications.
•Strong research, financial/data analytics and business/report writing skills
•Ability to express clearly, and precisely, complex ideas in graphical and written form to facilitate the creation of internal presentations.
•Ability to understand data issues and business needs to transform qualitative and quantitative information into succinct and meaningful reports.
•Resourceful and critical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills
•Work requires a detail-oriented person with strong organizational and project coordination skills.
•Strong degree of self-initiative and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a diverse set of work teams and stakeholders
•Ability to exercise exceptional flexibility and tolerate change and ambiguity in instructions and work priorities.
•Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, customer service and communication skills
•Responds to customer needs, giving high priority to positive and professional customer/staff interactions promoting customer satisfaction.
•Experience at handling multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with frequent interruptions, ability to prioritize work and consistently meet deadlines. Demonstrated skills to produce high-quality of work in a fast-paced environment
•Requires excellent judgment and ability to recognize and appropriately handle information and situations that are sensitive in nature and maintain security of information that is highly confidential.
