This position will improve safe prescribing practices and work to prevent prescription drug overuse, misuse, abuse, and overdose. Incumbent will evaluate Prescription Drug Overdose Prevention outreach strategies to tribes and pueblos, third-party payer interventions. This position will link Prescription Monitoring Program to electronic health records and coordinate with law enforcement agencies in collaboration with Tribes and Pueblos, pharmacies, health care providers, third-party payers and the Board of Pharmacy, on data collection and analysis, plan reviews and updates, as well as the development of evaluation reports. Incumbent will prepare recommendations, propose revisions to activities and policies and develop strategies for future overdose related legislation, regulation changes and activities. THIS POSTING WILL BE USED TO CONDUCT ONGOING RECRUITMENT AND WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL POSITION HAS BEEN FILLED. This position is a Pay Band 75.
