Position Title: Network/Project Coordinator

Reports To: Network/Project Director

Compensation: $18.00/hour, .5 FTE through May 31, 2018

Role: The Network/Project Coordinator will be part of a small team responsible for driving Kittitas County Health Network’s work forward, in particular supporting day-to-day communications, day-to-day administration, community engagement, and data functions.

Responsibilities: The Network/Project Coordinator will provide day-to-day support and facilitation of the Kittitas County Health Network effort. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Assist in identifying and recruiting additional members:
  2. a) Organizing outreach against list of community members and upcoming events, including following-up as needed
  3. Assist in community health assessment and community health improvement planning: a) Coordinating research and other activities with initiative members to minimize redundancies and to align strategies and actions
  4. a) Working with Network/Project Director to coordinate with other related projects and coalitions to maintain a full understanding of the current landscape of local activities, and integrating their work into Steering Committee and Working Group processes
  5. b) In partnership with Network/Project Director, providing support to member organizations in aligning their work to the common agenda d) Coordinating indicator refinement with Working Groups and Steering Committee
  6. Assist in identification and implementation of communication strategies:
  7. a) Developing communications materials as Kittitas County Health Network evolves, developing web and social media strategy, and creating press strategy, including drafting press releases and coordinating with media outlets
  8. Assist in development of support/buy-in:
  9. a) Working with Network/Project Director to identify potential funding sources to support Kittitas County Health Network’s goals and priorities

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years work experience including one or more years of proven community outreach and coordination experience
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining relationships with senior executives
  • The presence to inspire confidence and passion in external audiences and to build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Advanced project management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fluid, unstructured, entrepreneurial environment without formal training
  • Flexibility and the ability to work autonomously as well as take direction as needed
  • Commitment to the collective impact concepts
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong community engagement and facilitation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
  • Experience fundraising or grant writing
  • Existing relationships with, or ability to build relationships with, a cross-sectoral range of stakeholders in the local area, including senior executives
