Situated near Yosemite National Park, the University of California, Merced is a dynamic new university, which opened in September 2005 as the tenth campus of the University of California and the first American research university in the 21st century. The Health Sciences Research Institute is the largest research institute on campus, with representation from faculty across the campus. Interdisciplinary health research is supported through the Health Sciences Research Institute.
The Public Health unit at the University of California, Merced is seeking to hire a Postdoctoral Scholar. The Postdoc responsibilities would include working with environmental health faculty (Ricardo Cisneros) and other researchers on projects related to smoke impacts from mega forest fires. Qualifications: Successful applicants will have a PhD in Environmental Health, Environmental Epidemiology, Epidemiology or Biostatistics. Preference given to those with expertise in exposure assessment, spatial analysis, advanced analytical techniques (epidemiological and statistical techniques), strong writing skills, and experience working with air quality data. The successful candidate will have strong quantitative skills, experience working with air quality and hospital data, and those that have an interest in exposure assessment and environmental epidemiology.How to Apply:
