Reporting to the OEHS Director, the Licensing and Certification Section Manager provides leadership to staff, interns, and volunteers. This position oversees technical and administrative staff in activities responsible for licensing and certification of commercial shellfish industry, inspection, patrol, biotoxin, Vibrio, harvest site, export certification, and enforcement programs.
The Licensing and Certification Section Manager ensures adherence to state and federal standards as the State Shellfish Control Authority (SSCA) for the licensing and certification of the commercial shellfish industry. You will also be responsible for a staff of twelve (12) with the help from an inspection program supervisor, and for a biennial budget of $2.7 million.
