Reporting to the Built Environment Section Manager, these part-time (50% Time), non-permanent Environmental Specialist 1 (ES 1) positions (3 positions) are a member of the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (CLPPP).
These positions will conduct drinking water sample collection for analysis to assess and reduce childhood lead exposure from drinking water in schools. These positions are non-permanent, part-time (50%), and required 90% travel.
These position serves as a front-line contact between Department of Health and school officials, and is responsible for creating and maintaining lasting relationships with the goal of reducing and eliminating childhood lead, consistent with the mission of DOH. These positions work with partners and represents from the Office of Environmental Health and Safety (OEHS) to schools and other stakeholders. These positions are expected to contribute to a culture of excellence within the office with the full support of OEHS leadership
There are currently three (3) non-permanent, part-time (50% Time) Environmental Specialist 1 (ES 1) openings within the Office of Environmental Public Health Science. These part-time (50%), non-permanent positions are anticipated to last through June 30, 2018. This recruitment may be used to fill other ES 1 positions within the unit.
