This position will use data to analyze and interpret existing and emerging health and human services issues; assist staff and partners in understanding data and use it to create actionable steps to address health concerns. The program specialist will support staff and the leadership team in making progress on performance management, quality improvement, strategic planning and community health improvement.Skills/Eligibility:
Bachelor’s degree in in public health, epidemiology, or a closely related field, including coursework in epidemiology or assessment;
4 years of professional work experience in assessment.
Requires knowledge of: epidemiological principles and practices, disease surveillance, community health assessment methodology, advanced statistical and bio-statistical analysis, informatics, and data analysis and visualization.
Must have a driving record that meets County standards and possess a valid driver’s license at time of hire and throughout employment.
