The Focus Forward Fellowship is a program designed to support women student veterans in skill building, leadership development and creating a sense of community among their peers. Eligibility forms opened on February 16, and interested women have until March 23 to complete the form. If eligible, they will receive an invitation to submit a full application.

MFRI provides a full scholarship for selected applicants. Applications open February 16.

Selected applicants travel to Indiana for the four-day symposium and continue connecting with the cohort in an online learning community throughout the academic year.

Focus Forward Fellowship brings together women student veterans to build professional skills, foster leadership, connect with national mentors and develop a supportive community of peers.

About MFRI Founded in 2000, MFRI is a nationally-recognized organization working to shape policies, programs and practices that improve the well-being of military and veteran families. We also collaborate with others to advance research on issues impacting these families.  MFRI is located at Purdue University’s College of Health and Human Sciences, in the  Department of Human Development and Family Studies.

Skills/Eligibility:

Who is eligible? Honorably-discharged women student veterans. Enrolled sophomores, juniors  and seniors receive preference when applying. Women seeking masters’ degrees are also eligible
