Solid Ground Washington is accepting applications for an open job called the Americorps Project Coordinator https://www.solid-ground.org/careers/americorps-project-coordinator/ which involves supervising, training, recruiting, and performing administrative functions for a team of volunteers who teach nutrition education in the community. The position is a part-time (28 hours/week) union position paying $20.53 per hour plus excellent benefits and labor union representation. The current closing date is April 20th, 2018, which may be extended. Solid Ground is a nonprofit founded on anti-racism, anti-poverty work in homelessness services, community nutrition education, transportation programs, and other financial, legal, and education services for our community.
The AmeriCorps Project Coordinator works with program staff, the Washington Service Corps, and Share Our Strength to support and strengthen Solid Ground’s AmeriCorps team. In the Seattle and South King County area, 5-10 full-time AmeriCorps, National Service Members, and other interns under the direction of Solid Ground staff provide direct nutrition education in schools, farms, and partner organizations. The AmeriCorps Project Coordinator will work alongside program staff to help develop, implement, monitor and evaluate project assignments for 5-10 full-time AmeriCorps Members and interns working in elementary schools, partner organizations, and at Solid Ground’s farms.How to Apply:
