Why does the job exist?
This position will evaluate Prescription Drug Overdose Prevention strategies related to outreach to tribes and pueblos, third-party payer interventions, community health work groups, changes in Medicaid policies, and academic detailing. This requires working with Tribes and Pueblos, community health work groups, Managed Care Organizations and insurance companies, licensing boards, and health care providers. This position will develop surveys, conduct interviews, analyze quantitative and qualitative data, update evaluation plans, and write evaluation reports and fact sheets
How does it get done?
This position will work with drug overdose prevention program staff on data collection and analysis, evaluation plan reviews and updates, and development of evaluation reports as well as the Substance Abuse Section Epidemiologists on data analysis and dissemination activities.
Who are the customers?
The customers are DOH staff, drug overdose prevention program staff, substance abuse section epidemiologists, CDC staff, state agencies, and overdose prevention program stakeholders.
