The Department of Health Services seeks a .50 FTE Program Coordinator to work with the Latino Center for Health (LCH), the only center in the WWAMI region whose singular focus is on advancing Latino health. The Latino Center for Health is an interdisciplinary research center that seeks to promote the health and well-being of Latinos in Washington State, regionally and globally across the lifespan in culturally responsive ways. A major goal of the Center is to prevent disease and promote the health and well-being of Latino communities through collaborative research partnerships with community-based organizations, researchers, and government agencies. The Center’s research foci include physical health, particularly chronic diseases, mental health, occupational and environmental health, and violence and injury prevention. The Latino Center for Health was launched in April 2014. Drs. Gino Aisenberg and Leo Morales serve as co-directors of the Center.
The Program Coordinator will work closely with LCH faculty and staff to coordinate and support administrative responsibilities for the efficient functioning of the Center. Towards this end, the Program Coordinator will coordinate, schedule, carry out, monitor and address administrative and logistic support of the activities of the Center in fulfillment of its mission. In addition, the Program Coordinator will support center projects, each with unique needs. Successful coordination of these projects requires a superior talent for multi-tasking and prioritizing, including project development, and communication and dissemination of findings. How to Apply:
