Why does the job exist?
To provide general administrative support to the Injury and Behavioral Epidemiology Bureau.
How does it get done?
By providing financial support (including use of 35+ accounting, project codes, and making necessary journal entry corrections to the SHARE financial system), and budgetary services (including choice of accounting codes, projecting expenditures and revenues, providing data to support the annual budget request and operating budget, and to drive the budget adjustment request process). Also, by assisting in grants management and grant application functions, contracts processing, request for proposals management, and human resources support for the Bureau, for approximately 30 staff. Position will supervise two clerical support staff.
Who are the customers?
Administration and management of the Epidemiology and Response Division, Bureau leadership, and Bureau Staff in four Sections: Drug Overdose Prevention; General Injury Prevention, Substance Abuse Epidemiology, and the Behavioral Health Survey Section.
Outgoing personality Experience with public speaking Ability to create and present training materials Ability to travel with short notice throughout the state with overnight travel probable.
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
Office setting, exposure to Visual/Video Display terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and telephone usage with extended periods of sitting.
