Starting Salary $42,598 - $61,951 DOE

The Position

Performs a variety of professional and administrative level Risk Management duties designed to minimize the City’s exposure to loss, controlling costs, and promoting a safe and healthy work environment. Responsible for developing and managing a progressive city-wide risk management program, with safety as a primary focus. These functions include managing employee occupational safety and health, training programs, property damage and liability claims analysis and processing and city-wide health and safety programs to control losses resulting from on-the-job injuries and illness. Responsible for administering all aspects of the Lewiston Worker’s Compensation Program. May carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas; Risk Management, Safety and HR related Training, Workers Compensation, and FMLA/ADA. The Risk Manager must be able to effectively exercise independent judgment and initiative.

Qualifications

  • Five (5) years progressively responsible professional experience in Risk Management

  • Experience with Safety Training, Workers Compensation, FMLA/ADA, and general liability insurance

  • Experience developing programs related to Risk Management HR areas of discipline preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety preferred

  • ARM Certification preferred

  • Requires valid state driver’s license, and history of good driving record.
