Reporting directly to the Public Health Division Manager, this Public Health Program Supervisor will be responsible for planning, organizing, supervising and coordinating the Health Equity, Policy and Planning (HEPP) Public Health program. The incumbent  will be tasked with providing leadership and supporting program staff working on a Community Health Assessment and Community Health Improvement Plan developing, implementing and evaluating activities which include serving as a leadership member on the Healthy Columbia Willamette Collaborative. This role functions as the lead for Public Health staff working on assessing and implementing equity approaches to program development, policies, budgeting and decision making.

Ideally, candidates will have training and experience in public health population practices including policy, system and environmental change strategies. Candidates should have demonstrated experience working in and with diverse communities to achieve health equity, be a creative thinker with experience leading and implementing community health assessments and community health improvement plans. Additionally, the candidate in this role will have demonstrated interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across a variety of stakeholder and partner groups, be able to communicate effectively and persuasively to a wide audience of internal and external partners and have experience leading a team in producing and overseeing multiple deliverables with overlapping deadlines.
