This full time, Career Service position is part of the Communicable Disease Epidemiology and Immunization Section (CD-EPI) and works collaboratively with CD-EPI and Prevention Division Epidemiologists and is a liaison between the section’s investigative and analytics/informatics teams. This position includes performing complex tasks where previously established policies or standard methods may not be available.
The Epidemiologist II provides direction and support for data collection, responds to data requests, conducts data analysis and data quality assurance, and develops data visualizations and reports for internal and external audiences, with a focus on enteric infections, vaccine-preventable diseases, zoonoses, hospital-acquired infections, and immunizations data.
The work may include technical supervision of staff involved in data collection, management, and analysis, including assessing employee performance and guiding employee professional development.
