Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor - UAB Department of Epidemiology

Eligible candidates must have a PhD, MD, or equivalent doctoral degree with graduate-level training in epidemiology or a closely related field. Preferred qualifications include a record of peer-reviewed publications, experience in teaching graduate or undergraduate level epidemiology courses and demonstrated ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary, collaborative academic setting. For the rank of Associate Professor or Professor, applicants should have evidence of securing extramural funding to support an independent research program. We are seeking applicants who have or can develop research programs in the substantive areas of infectious diseases (particularly HIV/AIDS), cancer, social determinants of health or climate change and population health. Applicants with an interest in global health are also welcome. Applicants with research programs that will enhance and build on the departmental strengths in cardiovascular diseases, genomics, and health disparities will also be considered.
