Purpose of Position:
This position is funded through the CDC’s National Environmental Public Health Tracking Program. The purpose of this position is to provide data management and epidemiological support to the Environmental Public Health Tracking and Private Wells Programs. Position will provide data management and epidemiological support for indoor radon exposure surveillance in New Mexico. Incumbent will manage the bureau’s notifiable conditions database, and provide epidemiological support for biomonitoring projects. Key responsibilities are: Manage Environmental Notifiable and Occupational Conditions (ENOC) Database, conducting QA/QC of laboratory reports entered manually and the electronic lab reports (ELRs); work with health/medical providers and all NM and CDC programs to integrate ENOC-based biomonitoring data into EPHT exposure analysis; analyze ENOC data; provide support for biomonitoring projects; provide support for data management for the drinking water quality NCDMs development, including community water system and private well datasets; provide support for data management for indoor radon exposure surveillance in New Mexico and assist with grant writing.
