The School’s Alumni Advisory Board is pleased to announce the opening of nominations for the 2009 Distinguished Alumni Award. Nominations must be received by February 6, 2009.
The Award recognizes one of our own, an alum with a demonstrated record of distinguished service and achievement in public health in any public health discipline and in any setting.
The Selection Committee is especially interested in candidates with any or all of the following credentials: humanitarian contributions, a consistent record of improving the impact of public health, advancement of the field through research or practice, and exceptional resourcefulness, innovation, or creativity.
Nominees must be graduates of the UW School of Public Health and be able to attend the Distinguished Alumni Award Ceremony, which will be held during the 2009 graduation festivities on June 12.
