Research Interests

Dr. Khosropour’s work involves both research and applied epidemiology in the field of HIV and STI prevention. She has led studies examining the effectiveness of behavioral strategies to prevent HIV among men who have sex with men (MSM) in the U.S. and is currently leading a cohort study to examine if the rectum is a source or reservoir of persistent/recurrent urogenital chlamydial infection among women.  Additionally, Dr. Khosropour is an epidemiologist with the University of Washington Public Health Capacity Building Center, which conducts capacity-building assistance with health departments throughout the U.S. to improve HIV prevention and care activities.
