2013 Graduation Speaker:
Camara Jones, MD, MPH, PhD, is an Adjunct Professor, Rollins School of Public Health and Adjunct Associate Professor, Morehouse School of Medicine. Her work focuses on the impacts of racism on the health and well-being of the nation.
There will be two events, one for graduating Undergraduate students, the other for graduating Graduate students:

Hogness Auditorium (Magnuson Health Sciences Building, A420)
10-11am: Undergraduate Ceremony
11am-12pm: All School Reception (families and guests welcome)
12-12:30pm: Master & PhD prep (grads dress & are staged)
12:30-1:45pm: Master & PhD Ceremony
1:45-2:45pm: Continuing Reception

All students, faculty, staff, family and friends of the graduates are encouraged to join us.
There is limited seating in the graduation event space.
The School of Public Health will provide tickets for guaranteed seating 2 weeks prior the event date. The number of tickets provided for guests of graduating students will range from 2-6 tickets (per graduating student).
The School of Public Health will release the final ticket distribution number 2 weeks prior to the event to all students who RSVP. All graduates who RSVP will receive emailed instructions on how to claim their tickets 2 weeks prior to the event.
It is unlikely that seating will be available for non-ticket holders on the day of the event. The availability of additional seating for non-ticket holders will be assessed once all guests with tickets have been seated. All family and friends are welcome to celebrate with graduates at the reception held from 11AM-12PM on June 14th.
These events will honor all graduates and soon-to-be graduates (those who graduate Autumn 2012 through Summer 2013).

Yes! For this year’s celebration, at the request of students, wearing a cap and gown is strongly recommended. Information on ordering gowns
Yes! Refreshments will be provided at the reception between the undergraduate and graduate ceremonies, from 11am-noon. Graduates and their families and friends are welcome.

If you drive, there are pay parking lots located within walking distance from Hogness auditorium:
UW gatehouse lots ($15/day - prorated under 4 hours)
UW hourly parking lots ($3/hour, located on East Campus around Husky Stadium)
There is limited metered street parking on lower 15th Ave. NE and Boat Street, and in the University retail area, maximum time is 2 or 4 hours.
