2. Is this an official University of Washington Commencement Ceremony?
No, but all students graduating from any School of Public Health degree program will be individually recognized and school awards will be presented. The wearing of caps and gowns is optional.

4. I will not finish my thesis/dissertation until later in the year. Can I participate in the Graduation Celebration?
This event honors all graduates and soon-to-be graduates from Autumn 2008 through Summer 2009.
5. Do I need to RSVP for this event?
No.
6. Can I get a parking permit for this event?
Parking on campus will be very limited during Commencement Weekend -- from Friday, June 12 through Sunday, June 14. We strongly encourage people to walk, take the bus, or carpool, if possible.
The School will provide one (1) complimentary parking permit for each graduate (Autumn 2008 - Summer 2009) participating in the Graduation Celebration. We are unable to provide permits for faculty, staff, or non-graduating students. In addition, we are unable to provide permits for graduates who may be attending a department or program event June 12, but not the school-wide event. Note: individuals holding annual parking permits will be able to use them.
Graduates may request a permit by contacting the Student Coordinator in their department or program. Permits will be available about one week prior to the event.
If you plan to attend UW Commencement on Saturday, June 13, parking permits must be purchased on-line between May 4 and May 24 (http://depts.washington.edu/commence/).
