The students who graduate from the UW SPH MPH Program receive an impressive academic education from the MPH program, but as you know, the day-to-day practice of public health is a far cry from textbook (or even actual) examples described in lecture format. The MPH Program must rely on the state's current public health leaders to help prepare the next generation of public health professionals. The MPH Practicum Program is your opportunity to be a leader in public health by providing these students with the tools they will need for the future.
We are looking for local public health jurisdictions, tribal health jurisdictions, and federal, state and local agencies and organizations to help train the public health leaders of the future! Nearly all of our students have some level of public health experience, and will be a valuable addition to your organization. Practicum projects vary widely and should meet the students interests and career goals, as well as the Departments educational objectives.
