Strategic Plan 2012 - 2020: Looking toward the Future

With much thought, hard work, and discussion over nine months, hundreds of members of the UW School of Public Health community have developed a vision for the future of the School. The Strategic Plan 2012-2020 builds on our current excellence and broadens us into new directions to meet rapidly evolving public health challenges.

Our expertise in research, teaching, and mentoring public health scientists and leaders is more important than ever. The Plan identifies seven goals and strategies to strengthen our core functions. It includes six carefully selected areas of emerging public health importance in which the School can develop world-class initiatives. As we implement the plan, we will be advancing our vision of “healthy people in sustainable communities – locally, national, and globally.”
