The School of Public Health (SPH) Student Lounge offers a place for public health students to gather, meet others, and study in a relaxed setting. The space includes comfortable sofas, a study counter, and Wi-Fi access, making it a perfect stop between classes. Occasional special events for students help bring the SPH community together.
The Student Lounge is occasionally staffed with a current undergraduate student who works to provide a welcoming presence, serve as a resource, and engage public health students in community building activities.
Most of the School's departments and programs have additional space, ranging from computer labs to study cubicles, for student use. A refrigerator and microwave are available to students in Health Sciences T-329D.
Public Health Major offices are co-located with the Student Lounge so events and activities should not disrupt student’s access to advising during normal business hours from 8 – 5 Monday through Friday, during which time the Student Lounge doors will remain unlocked.
Students who have an access code may continue to access the lounge during posted Health Sciences Building Hours:
Monday - Friday: 7 am – 6 pm
Saturday, Sunday, & Holidays: Closed
Anyone in Health Sciences on weekdays before 7 am and after 6 pm and all day on weekends and holidays must have a photo ID and Access Card which are typically only available to students who hold work or research appointments through a department or program.
