Diversity in the Public Health Major
The Public Health Major is committed to developing a more diverse student body in order to increase the cultural competence of our graduates as they go on to work and make a difference in a range of communities locally, national and globally. Our commitment to diversity is supported and echoed by the School of Public Health and the University’s Board of Regents.
Diversity is a priority in admissions, advising and student programming . Furthermore, social justice is a core tenant of the discipline and, consequently, our curriculum. As such, we appreciate the benefits that cultural and socioeconomic diversity have on the health of communities and the learning of our students.
