Downtown/South Seattle on I-5

Take the NE 45th Street exit (#169) from I-5 northbound. Turn right onto NE 45th Street. Continue east to 15th Avenue NE (next street after University Way NE) and turn right. Head south on 15th Avenue approximately 7 blocks. Cross NE Pacific from the right-hand lane on 15th. At the bottom of 15th Avenue, curve left onto Columbia Road. Campus gatehouse #6 will be straight ahead.

Park in S-1 Garage. Follow instructions in Where to Park.

North Seattle on I-5

Take the NE 45th Street exit (#169) from I-5 southbound. Turn left onto NE 45th Street. Continue east to 15th Avenue NE (next street after University Way NE) and turn right. The Eastside on 520

Exit 520 at Montlake. Get into one of the left lanes to proceed onto NE Pacific. Once on Pacific, get into the far left lane as you pass the Health Sciences complex. Turn left at 15th Avenue NE (the first street beyond the Health Sciences; there is a left-turn lane). At the bottom of 15th Avenue, follow the arterial and curve left onto Columbia Road. Campus gatehouse #6 will be straight ahead.

The Sandpoint/University Village area on 25th Ave NE

Head south on 25th Avenue, which becomes Montlake Boulevard NE.  Turn right on Pacific Place NE (opposite Hec Edmondson Pavilion) and proceed onto NE Pacific.  Get into the far left lane on Pacific as you pass the Health Sciences complex.  Turn left at 15th Avenue NE (the first street beyond the Health Sciences; there is a left-turn lane).  Follow 15th as it curves left, becoming Columbia Road behind the Health Sciences.  Campus gatehouse #6 will be straight ahead.

Capitol Hill/Leschi across the Montlake Bridge on 23rd Ave

Head north on 23rd Avenue, down the hill to the Montlake Interchange.  Proceed across the Montlake Bridge in one of the two left lanes that turn onto NE Pacific.  Get into the far left lane on Pacific as you pass the Health Sciences complex.  Turn left at 15th Avenue NE (the first street beyond the Health Sciences; there is a left-turn lane).  At the bottom of 15th Avenue, follow the arterial and curve left onto Columbia Road.  Campus gatehouse #6 will be straight ahead.

The South Lake Union area on Eastlake

Head north on Eastlake. At the north end of University Bridge, take the second right onto Campus Parkway. Proceed to 15th Avenue NE and turn right. Cross NE Pacific from the right-hand lane on 15th.  At the bottom of 15th Avenue, curve left onto Columbia Road.  Campus gatehouse #6 will be straight ahead.

Walking down from upper campus

Come down Rainier Vista and circle right around the fountain, heading down the sidewalk closest to the chemistry building (Garfield Lane). Cross the overpass closest to the Hospital.

Proceed through 4th floor T-Wing lobby area. Turn right at hallway. Turn left almost immediately at first hallway (Signs direct you to South Campus Center and F-Wing, School of Public Health).

Proceed to end of hall—Department of Environmental Health, 4th Floor of F-Wing. Proceed to 3rd floor via stairs or elevator. Turn right when facing the large bulletin board. Hallway ends at the Dean’s Office.

Where to Park

Park in the S-1 Garage. When you reach the gatehouse, ask to park in S-1. You will need to pay to park (see current visitor parking fees). Parking fees are on a pro-rated basis; when you leave, stop at the gatehouse to see if any part of the fee can be refunded.

If the gatehouse puts you in a lot other than S-1, call the School at (206) 543-1144 for help with directions.

If you are parked in S-1, from the uppermost underground level of the garage, enter the -1 tunnel following directions to the Dental Clinics. After entering the F-Wing, the hallway will jog right and then left. On the left are elevators (don’t turn right toward Dental Clinics). Proceed on elevator to 3rd floor. Turn right and follow hallway to Dean’s Office, F-350. Our offices overlook the S-1 garage.

From the street level, proceed up the stairs on either side of the F-Wing. Entrance to the building is on the 2nd floor. Go to the 3rd floor and proceed to the Dean’s Office, room F-350.
