Research Data Analyst - University of California, San Francisco
The Research Data Analyst I (RDA) will join a devoted and enthusiastic team of scientists, working in an internationally recognized team to evaluate environmental exposures during pregnancy and effects on development. The RDA, with limited scope and complexity, will contribute to research collecting data on a variety of research studies.
The RDA position involves gathering, analyzing, and interpreting a wide variety of research data, which may include selecting data samples, preparing questionnaires, and analyzing collected data according to established statistical methods. It will also involve assistance in developing, maintaining and optimizing data systems and databases and informing and performing processes for data QA.
The RDA prepares reports, charts, tables, and other visual aids. Position will be under direct supervision and will be provided training to acquire skills and knowledge of professional concepts in research data analysis.

The UCSF Program on Reproductive Health and the Environment (PRHE) is a world recognized research and research translation program devoted to reducing the impacts of environmental contaminants on reproductive and developmental health. We are a high‐paced and committed team conducting novel research linking developmental exposures to environmental chemicals to health and creating new methods for research translation in environmental health science. We seek to foster and promote student and professional interest and capacity in environmental health research, policy and education.

• Bachelor’s degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
• Knowledge / understanding of relevant software tools for data analysis, such as R or Stata, and knowledge of how to perform basic data analysis functions, including regressions, 2X2 tables etc.
• Knowledge / understanding of data collection and analysis operations and database administration, including data modeling, data definition, data cleaning and conversion of content or unstructured information.
• Knowledge / understanding of software and tools to prepare tables and visualizations of data such as Tableau.
