The Environmental Health and Safety Manager is a full-time permanent exempt position. The position was established to ensure Seattle Colleges continues to maintain compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations. In addition, this position will serve on multiple safety committees and provide Health & Safety training for staff.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related field; or equivalent experience in environmental health/facility functions
  • 3-5 years of relevant industry or regulatory experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable personal transportation
  • Knowledge and understanding of hazardous waste regulations and worker safety laws applicable in Washington State
  • Skilled at developing relationships that inspire compliance
  • Able to oversee and inspire compliance with environmental safety laws applicable in Washington State
  • Able to work independently and professionally in a wide variety of situations
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office software programs
  • Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to organize complex projects and meet deadlines
  • Cultural competency in working with a diverse workforce
