Assistant / Associate - Department of Nutrition Science - Purdue University
The Department of Nutrition Science seeks applicants for two tenure-track positions (Assistant/Associate level) that will contribute to any one of our four departmental signature areas (https://www.purdue.edu/hhs/nutr/): Metabolism and Obesity; Minerals, Vitamin D and Bone Health; Food, Ingestive Behavior and Population Nutrition; and Carcinogenesis and Cancer Prevention. These are nine-month, academic-year appointments.
We are interested in candidates with evidence of developing and/or sustaining a successful research program and who have a strong potential to gain external research funding. Research approaches may span the spectrum of nutrition science from basic to clinical to human populations. The position includes responsibility in research, teaching in both undergraduate and graduate education, and service. Applicants must have a PhD or MD in nutrition or related field and post-doctoral training is required. Opportunities for funding and research collaborations exist with many interdisciplinary research centers with links located on the Nutrition Science website (https://www.purdue.edu/hhs/nutr/). The chosen candidate will participate in graduate education as a member of the Interdepartmental Nutrition Program and/or the Purdue University Life Sciences Education (PULSe) program.
