Public Health - Seattle & King County is seeking a skilled, enthusiastic and dedicated Solid Waste Facilities Supervisor (Health and Environmental Investigator IV) in the Solid Waste, Rodent and Zoonotic Diseases Program. The incumbent serves in a key leadership position supporting a team of five professional staff who oversee environmental regulatory compliance for permitted and "permit exempt" solid waste handling facilities and landfills located throughout King County. The incumbent works closely with a co-supervisor responsible for leading additional program areas including illegal dumping, rodent control, zoonotic disease prevention, and homeless shelter environmental health. The responsibilities include overall program management, advancing racial equity and social justice, recruiting, developing, and supervising program staff, developing and maintaining strong working relationships with agency partners and regulated entities, and resolving conflict with a combination of negotiation, diplomacy, and tact.
