The Mission Neighborhood Health Center is a non-profit, multi-site community health organization offering comprehensive health services in the Mission and Excelsior Districts of San Francisco.  The center offers primary health care services, adult medicine, pediatrics, family planning, OB/GYN, HIV and homeless services. This opportunity:

Under the general direction of the CEO, the Chief Strategy Officer focuses the organization on the execution of the priorities identified in the strategic plan. The individual in this position provides strategic leadership primarily through collaboration with the Executive and Senior Management Team.  The individual in this position must balance strategy management with execution, combining the roles of visionary, shepherd, coach and analyst.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES**

Execution of Strategic Plan - 35%

  • Provides leadership, direction and facilitation in the periodic review, revision and systematic implementation of MNHC’s strategic plan.
  • Monitors the Annual Work Plan and reports on progress toward Strategic Plan Outcomes.
  • Assesses impact of each Outcome on the quality of service and the organization overall.

Project Management - 20%

  • Builds and leads multi-disciplinary teams to complete short- to mid-range projects identified as priorities by the CEO or the Executive Management Team.
  • Builds the capacity of MNHC’s management staff to manage projects.

Analytics and Organizational Quality - 15%

  • Leads non-clinical quality management projects and processes to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Builds or installs meaningful, efficient and sustainable systems for reporting, tracking and analysis of key organizational metrics.

General Management - 20%

  • Manage the Human Resources Director, and support the integration of HR initiatives in all departments.
  • Ensure the quality and optimization of all HR Department Functions.

Other - 10%

  • Assists with special projects and other assignments as requested by the CEO.
  • Participate in Quality Management Committee, Emergency Preparedness and Safety Committee (depending on scope), Managers and Supervisors/Leadership Circle.
  • Attends other Health Center and external meetings as directed by the CEO.
