ASRC Federal Technical Services (ASTS) has an excellent position for a Subject Matter Expert, Health Clinician to join our team as we support the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Connected Health Branch headquartered on Joint Base Lewis-McChord with a mission to promote cutting-edge approaches for the use of connected health technology to identify, treat, and minimize/eliminate the short-and long-term effects of debilitating health conditions on military readiness.

ASTS is proud to support this customer and has an excellent opportunity for a Healthcare Clinician that is an "innovator" seeking to contribute to the development and refinement of relatively new program.  This position will focus on research, writing and best practices and will have the opportunity to learn more about Telehealth practices.  If you are passionate about transforming military healthcare, we seeking a professional (e.g., psychologist, nurse, public health) to join our team supporting the Defense Health Agency’s Connected Health Branch where we are leading the charge to innovate military health care using telehealth solutions.  If you have a  Masters or Doctorate in a related field and enjoy research and writing, we want to hear from  you!  You can make a difference in the lives of service members and their families.  US Citizenship is required. 

Requirements:

  • Doctorate or Masters in a health-related discipline with emphasis on research and academic writing
  • Military health experience is a plus
  • Eight (8) years of related experience with the ability to critically analyze and synthesize data and academic content
  • Flexibility in shifting work assignments and priorities
  • Experience working on multidisciplinary teams, with a desire to work collaboratively on project assignments
  • Knowledge of or experience utilizing health technologies
  • Experience with quantitative and qualitative data analysis
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills (will request writing samples)
  • Customer service oriented

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts literature reviews on various health related topics
  • Delivers research and evaluation findings in written reports, stakeholder meetings and formal briefings
  • Works with research librarian and other team members to develop project PICOT and research question
  • Prepares research reports using various style guides
  • Meets with stakeholders to ascertain requirements and share findings
  • Prepares manuscripts for publication
