Description:

The Social Science and Translation Research Branch (SSTRB), Division of Science Integration (DSI), of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), designs programs to deliver NIOSH research findings and recommendations, evaluates their effectiveness to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses, and promotes translation research across the Institute. SSTRB/DSI is accepting applications for an Associate Service Fellow position in Cincinnati, Ohio. The primary role of the Fellow will be to support the Safe∙Skilled∙Ready Workforce (SSRW) Program, described at: https://www.cdc.gov/niosh/programs/ssrw/default.html

Skills/Eligibility:

Successful candidates will possess the following: • A Ph.D. or equivalent graduate degree in a social or behavioral science, preferably with research experience and graduate training in occupational safety and health and dissemination and implementation (D&I) science. • Demonstrated skills and experience in quantitative and qualitative research methods for the social and behavioral sciences, with strong data management and analytical skills. Demonstrated experience with statistical software packages including SPSS, MPlus and R. • Strong written and oral communication skills with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and in teams. • Excellent organizational and project management skills. • Demonstrated skills and experience in developing and maintaining organizational partnerships
