Description:

The Korean American Scholarship Foundation (KASF) is a non-profit, volunteer-managed organization established to help meet the financial needs of Korean-American students seeking higher education. The KASF is organized into seven regions and the scholarship application process is handled separately by each region. Students may apply for more than one scholarship type; however, they can only be awarded one scholarship type.

Eligibility for Students Residing in the Western Region

  • Must be of Korean heritage (i.e., have a Korean parent, grandparent, or great-grandparent, or be adopted from Korea).
    • The Western region is not currently offering scholarships to non-Korean descendants of Korean War veterans.
  • Will be a full-time student at a school in one of the designated Western region states (Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington) during the 2020–2021 school year.
    • Specifically, graduate students must be continuing their studies in the 2020–2021 school year at a school within the Western region.
  • Students who reside, or will reside, in the US during the 2020–2021 school year, whether US citizens or foreign nationals, are all welcome to apply.
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Can demonstrate need for financial assistance.
