Overview
The CDC Foundation is seeking an Epidemiologist Data Analyst in Shoreline, WA. This Epidemiologist Data Analyst role will assist in the response to COVID-19. DOH seeks those who are able to provide ad hoc support to address a shortage of R programmers within the Surveillance Branch of the Incident Management Team.  


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Emerge short and longer term R programming, SQL programming, and/or data translation. 
  • Build R Capacity and GitHub standards. 
  • Data quality assurance, code cleanup, and troubleshooting. 
  • Examples of prior Ad Hoc Data Requests include:
  • Produce case rates and test rates for Leadership.
  • Produce historical daily trend data for researchers.
Skills/Eligibility:

 Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Epidemiology, biostatistics, data science, Masters Degree in field area Preferred
  • Intermediate or higher R skills
  • Logistic Requirements (provided by Department of Health): (PC, Operating systems, internet, phone etc. Essentially anything they are going to need to do the work)  
  • R Studio, Rtools, Python
