Description:

The Department of Biobehavioral Nursing and Health Informatics has an outstanding opportunity for a part time 50% FTE Program Operations Specialist. 

This position provides a wide range of project coordination, management and support for an interprofessional training grant housed within the UW Center for Health Sciences Interprofessional Education, Research and Practice that is appointed with the UW School of Nursing’s Department of Biobehavioral Nursing and Health Informatics. The grant is a 3-year training program from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to improve the RN workforce and increase team-based care within ambulatory care for WA State. The Center develops and promotes interprofessional education (IPE) initiatives focused on team science and clinical practice. Core responsibilities of the grant project manager will be to oversee and lead program coordination, organization, event logistics, foster partnerships, and perform outreach.

The grant and programs associated are interdisciplinary, and team members collaborate with different funding sources, aims, and institutions. The position requires someone who is responsive to changing demands and can effectively work with multiple stakeholders from academic leaders, clinical teams, health science students, and patients.  

This position, along with others, will help advance the field of interprofessional education, practice and research.  The UW is a leader in this area and the work we do will influence others in the health professions.
