Description:

Administrative Coordinator Position. Part-time (16 hours or 40% FTE).

This administrative coordinator position will serve on the study team for the NIH grant titled ’Mindful Body Awareness Training as an Adjunct to Medication Assisted Treatment for Opioid Use Disorder.’ Administratively based at the UW, the project involves a multi-year intervention study implemented at three community clinics (two in Seattle and one in Port Angeles). This position will manage regulatory procedures, reporting and documentation requirements for the study including adverse events and communication with the independent monitor. In addition, the administrative coordinator will be responsible for multiple tasks including preparation of NIH reports, interfacing with research coordinators to collect study files, meeting scheduling, ordering supplies, and assisting with preparation of manuscripts and abstracts for conference presentations.

This position will work closely with the principle investigators who will provide the leadership and direction for this position, and will require communication with all members of the research team. This is a dynamic/changing position that requires someone who can work with multiple research team members, attend to details relating to the overall and specific study aspects of implementation, work independently and can take a leadership role, as well as follow the guide of the PIs.

Project Administration:

• Manage quality assurance issues that involve interface with research coordinators such as adverse events, project deviatiorns, procedural changes, etc.

· Manage logistical operations such ordering supplies, maintain filing systems of research documents

· Interface with research coordinators for collection of files from various clinical sites

· Prepare external reports including Data Safety Monitoring (quarterly), and annual NIH reports.

· Prepare internal reports for quarterly meetings.

• Schedule core team meetings held twice monthly with Research Coordinators and PIs

• Assist with data management as directed - knowledge of RedCap, Access and Excel helpful

Evaluation and Dissemination:

• Creating reports, documents and spreadsheets related to study deliverables.

• Assisting with creating manuscripts and abstracts for presentations and dissemination of results.

Position Qualifications

Educational Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree minimum. Masters degree or equivalent experience preferred.

This position requires:

• Administrative experience; highly attentive to detail.

• Experience using technology such as REDCAP, EXCEL or similar software to manage data or project activities.

• Experience meeting compliance or quality control standards

Additional desired experience includes:

• Experience working administratively on past research or government funded projects.

• Experience working on NIH grants.

• Experience working in institutions of higher education.
