County Contract Manager (Pacific NW) - Public Health Institute

Position Summary
The Public Health Institute is looking to hire a County Contract Manager (Pacific NW). This individual will provide leadership, management, and oversight of the Tracing Health Program for one to two county contracts in the Pacific Northwest as needed/applicable.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Works with program leadership team to provide leadership and management of the project, including analysis and implementation of ongoing priorities, partnerships and infrastructure needs.
- Identifies and implements project management protocols and practices.
- Oversees project workload, coordinates and tracks completion of deliverables.
- Researches and implements workflow and process improvements.
- Performs risk management planning and crisis management.
- Monitors and tracks contract activity and provides regular progress reports to Tracing Health leadership and county clients.
- Directly supervises program staff of approximately 2-5. Acts as mentor and coach to staff.
- Provide high-level direction of workforce/staffing needs and hiring priorities and participate in recruitment activities.
- Works directly with micro-team managers and supervisors to establish and follow procedures for managing workload, setting priorities, and managing contact tracer staff performance.
- Collaborates with micro-team manager and Deputy Director II to support contact tracing staff in succeeding in their work and establish team cohesion in the remote work environment.
- With support from Deputy Director II, serves as a key point of contact for assigned counties, including attending regular meetings and status checks, preparing and submitting progress reports to the counties as needed, problem-solving, maintaining timely communication, and ensuring client satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 7 years of related experience, including at least 3 as a manager.
- Bachelor’s degree required or four additional years of related experience.
- Experience establishing effective working relationships in a multicultural, multi-ethnic environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to advancing health equity.
- Experience in external client (or funder) management.
- Experience managing project budgets, workplans, and deliverables.
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite and related software and comfort learning new virtual tools.
- Must be a resident of Idaho, Oregon, or Washington.

- Master’s degree.
- Professional nonprofit experience in addition to management experience. Experience in public health.

Important Information
- This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position.
- This is a time-limited position.
- The position is expected to last 12 months and is contingent upon funding after January 2021.
