Environmental Public Health Manager - Jefferson County Washington
Description:
Supports the Director of Environmental Health & Water Quality by supervising the professional Environmental Health program Staff. Performs complex duties associated with organizing, planning, managing, coordinating and directing programs including Food Safety, On-site Sewage, O&M, Solid Waste, Living Environment and Drinking Water.
Skills/Eligibility:EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Environmental Health, Sanitary Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, Biology, Environmental Policy or the Natural Sciences and three (3) years progressively responsible environmental health and administrative experience, with at least one (1) year as manager of discrete work unit including direct responsibility for performance of a team and/or individual subordinates; OR
Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Environmental Health, Sanitary Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, Biology, Environmental Policy or the Natural Sciences and three (3) years progressively responsible environmental health work, with at least one (1) year as manager, supervisor or lead of a discrete work unit which included direct responsibility for performance of a team and/or individual subordinates; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have or obtain registration as a Sanitarian or Environmental Health Specialist with Washington State Environmental Health Association or the National Environmental Health Association within 2 year of employment.
