We are recruiting for the following position(s):

Position Summary:

Health Care Advocate - Posting #20537:  Sea Mar Community Health Centers has an opening for a Full-Time Health Care Advocate in White Center / Seattle. This person will be covering for someone who is on a temporary leave of absence. The Health Care Advocate’s primary responsibility is to increase preventative health screening rates and preventive health services within Sea Mar medical clinics. The position will work directly with patients in order to implement evidence-based interventions to increase the health of Sea Mar’s patient population. Such services many include: immunizations and cancer screening and prevention.

Qualifications and/or Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of customer service experience required; preferably in a health care environment
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel, as well general computer use is required. Experience with electronic health record is preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required; Excellent oral and written communication skills desired
  • Legible hand writing required. Must be able to read and write proficiently in English and Spanish.

This person must also be of good character and maintain confidentiality; needs to be self-motivated and have and excellent work ethic, including the ability to work independently. Additional work experience may be substituted for education, with a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required.
