Activity 2: Congregate Living and Public Health Lab (PHL) 

SUMMARY

Assists in planning and conducting research projects involving designs, field studies and surveys relating to detection of COVID-19.
• Candidates from outside of Los Angeles region are welcome to apply
• Remote/on-site depending on work need and hiring manager’s discretion
• Standard work hours (40 hours/week)

This full-time benefitted position is grant funded through July 2021.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The duties of the Research Analyst II include, but are not limited to:

• Collects, processes and analyses COVID-19 data including the use of such techniques as multiple and partial correlation, multiple regression and simple analysis of variance;
• Prepares reports and recommendations based on research findings and communicates them orally, in writing, or through graphic representations and statistical summaries;
• May supervise clerical personnel in connection with specific research projects;
• Comply with DPH training regarding confidential information related to personal information; and
• Accept responsibility for other duties as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications
A Master’s degree in a field of the behavioral or social sciences and one year’s post master’s research experience -OR-A Bachelor’s degree in a field of the behavioral or social sciences and any combination of relevant education and/or experience totaling three years.

Desirable Qualifications
• Experience working in healthcare settings
• Experience in Microsoft Office applications.

Certificates/Licenses/Clearances
• A valid California driver’s license, proof of vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions
• Successful Clearance of LA County Live Scan Process
