Doctor Community Health Centers (CDCHC) is a not for profit organization that operates two
primary care clinics, an after-hours clinic, school-based health centers, a low-barrier addiction medicine
clinic and a dental clinic. The Carolyn Downs Family Medical Center was founded by the Seattle Black
Panther Party 50 years ago in Seattle’s Central District. The Country Doctor Community Clinic was
established in 1971 by the residents of the Capitol Hill community to provide affordable and comprehensive
primary health care services. Our founding principles of social justice live on today. We care for patients
from around the region and the world, of all ages, gender identities, and abilities, including people with and
without health insurance. Our staff work with a multi-disciplinary team of dedicated and dynamic individuals
who share our commitment to health equity. We are hiring for a mission-driven Interim Director of Human
Resources.
JOB SUMMARY
The person in this position is responsible for working to support optimal usage of the electronic medical
record – including data exchange support; User Acceptance testing to support quarterly upgrades and
interface/system additions; participate in the design of optimal workflows associated with EMR. This
position also provides support to patients in enrollment and usage of MyChart, which allows electronic
communication with patient care teams. The schedule is Tuesday - Saturday.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The EHR Site Specialist is responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to clinical staff to
promote ongoing optimal development and use of Epic that facilitates excellent clinical care. This includes:
Daily:
• Review communications from OCHIN via emails and voicemail
• Touch base with end users regarding workflow and issues
• Troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Create new users and update existing user records as needed
• Create new providers and update existing provider master files as needed
• Monitor EMR work queues
• Monitor billing work queues
• Work with billing staff to identify issues with ordering, registration, etc. to help identify training areas
• Monitor appropriate overdue results folders
• Watching for any trends with specific orders, lab processing etc.
• Monitor refill error pool
• Monitor Scanning and Indexing issues.
• Merge patient records as needed
• Update SA fee schedule

Update workstations- add, remove, troubleshoot
• Update printers- add, remove, troubleshoot
• Update Destination Maps as needed. Update preference lists
• Assist end users in creating their own smart phrases
• Create letter templates. Modify existing templates
WEEKLY
• Review Weekly Change Notice and client pack. Disperse pertinent information to end users. Develop training documentation based on changes
• Attend Super User meetings
• Implement trainings for internal staff/providers on various Epic functionality
• Assess workflows and develop more efficient workflows based on need
MONTHLY
• Attend Site Specialist Committee meetings
• Attend Operation Council meetings
• Assist in the maintenance of Lot Manager
PRN
• Train and shadow new employees
• Relay any Systems Notifications to appropriate end users

Skills/Eligibility:

Education and Training
Bachelor’s degree (preferably in healthcare or IT field); OR 5 years of health care industry experience in health care delivery or health plan functions
Minimum Requirements
• 5 years of social/clinical work and/or IT experience
• Ability to work evening s and weekends to support primary clinics
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Effective ability to navigate a personal computer, tablets, smartphones and laptop devices.
• Competency in use of EHRs, the Microsoft Office and other relevant software for word processing, calendaring, e-mail, and data entry
• Efficiently research and perform various tasks via the internet
• Ability to provide effective and respectful service to employees, visitors and clients of diverse cultural beliefs and practices

Abilities
• Experience with training end users in different settings – 1:1, Small Group, Classroom
• Experience with supporting clinician use of an EMR system, with expertise in ambulatory clinical computer applications (as appropriate for role) preferred.

Salary: $28.87 - $40.65/Per hour; Salary based on experience; this is a non-exempt, hourly regular 40 hour a week position. This position does include evenings and weekends.
BENEFITS: We provide a robust suite of benefits to all employees working 17.5 hours a week or more. Benefits include the choice of three medical plans (2 PPO and 1 HMO). We offer two dental plans (1 PPO and 1 HMO) and an optional vision plan. HMO plans are covered 100% and 75% for dependent children for employees working 35-40 hours a week and is prorated based on hours worked between 17.5-34 hours per week. Spousal and Partner coverage is offered and would be 100% out of pocket cost for the employee. Long-term disability insurance programs, as well as life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage are offered. Also, employees have access to flexible spending accounts, a subsidy up to 50 % of the cost of an ORCA pass, and a generous safe harbor 401K plan with a 3 % base employer contribution plus an additional 2% discretionary match, depending on the amount employee contributes.
