The Department of Global Health has an outstanding opportunity for a full time Research Study Assistant position. The position will support the DETECT 2 research study on HIV rapid point-of-care testing. The study involves one-time visits with participants seeking HIV/STI testing at the Public Health – Seattle King County Sexual Health Clinic located in the Ninth and Jefferson Building, and longitudinal follow up visits with participants with discordant test results. The Research Study Assistant will conduct these study visits, including participant recruitment, developing rapport with participants, going through the consent process, drawing blood, running several HIV point-of-care tests simultaneously, taking finger stick and oral fluid swabs, assisting the participant through a computer-based survey, and sharing and discussing test results with participants. The Research Study Assistant will report to the Project Investigator and work in coordination with the rest of the research team.
