Student Assistant - University of Washington - Department of Urology

LOCATION: Seattle, WA

Part-time position, 20+ hours per week

CLOSING DATE: open until filled

OPPORTUNITY TYPE: Job

JOB #: 17158

POSTED: April 6, 2021

Description:

The UW School of Medicine’s Department of Urology has a great opportunity for a student looking for meaningful work experience through exposure to health services research and opportunity for secondary authorship to manuscripts that are produced from a project which focuses on pediatric urology.

This position is ideal for a graduate student currently completing their first year of studies that is interested in data science, statistical analysis, and/or health care related research. We are hoping to hire a student this Spring (2021) that would work through summer and have the ability to continue into the following school year. This position can work up to 20 hours per week while classes are in session and up to 40 hours per week during breaks (including Summer) as long as they are registered for Fall quarter. Duties would include data management of a large health services database to create datasets for analysis, run basic statistics and output results into tabular format.  Requirements are proficiency in SAS, confidentiality as required by research protocols, and regular and predictable attendance. Work can be performed remotely.  Proposed compensation of $22.00/hr. https://www.washington.edu/urology/research/
